Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics That Will Be Able to Present Itself as a Science (German Prolegomena zu einer jeden künftigen Metaphysik, die als Wissenschaft wird auftreten können) is a book by the German philosopher Immanuel Kant, published in 1783, two years after the first edition of his Critique of Pure Reason. One of Kant's shorter works, it contains a summary of the Critique‘s main conclusions, sometimes by arguments Kant had not used in the Critique. Kant characterizes his more accessible approach here as an "analytic" one, as opposed to the Critique‘s "synthetic" examination of successive faculties of the mind and their principles.

This is fantastic writing, but the book itself is cheap for a reason. The image on the front is low resolution, and you can easily make out the millimeter wide pixels. I included, in the attached image, a Lego mini figure so you can see that the low resolution isn't due to my camera. The whole book is in Courier, so it feels like you're reading HTML code, not a philosophical text from the 1700's. If you need a paper copy of the book for a class, this is a cheap one, but otherwise you may as well just read this online as it's in the public domain and available on lots of websites.Product details

Another insight into metaphysics.
GREAT REFERENCE WORK. MANY MORE SUCH REFERENCE BOOKS SHOULD BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE, AND UNIVERSITY POST GRADUATE STUDENTS.
A must read, great for philosophy majors. A awesome basis for learning philosophy. Buy it now you won't regret it.
As far as conciseness goes, you won't find much better, and I love that this series of philosophy texts is so inexpensive. However, that doesn't make Kant any easier to comprehend. It's tough stuff that requires ample thought while reading, and it doesn't help that this is a translation; as anyone will tell you, things somethings get lost in translation.
The quality of the book leaves a lot to be desired. The font inside is in fixed width which makes it difficult to read. There are no page numbers which makes it difficult to follow along for class and reference in writing. Worst of all is the cover. The painting is a super pixelated jpeg. Very disappointing.
Fair translation with good introduction to the translation- was indeed a useful tool prior to the subsequent works of Kant
"easy" read in the sense that the book is concise, follows a very logical and explicitly laid out progression, and Kant -as he does- repeats points multiple times. The content is actually quite clear and straightforward too, the main difficulties i had were related to his sentence structure and figuring out which pronouns referred to what. Totally accessible for an interested layman once you understand the context of the work.
